Welcome to our blog! Craig and I were married on February 11, 2006. Craig had two sons from a previous marriage - Hunter and Colton. I was very lucky to inherit two wonderful kids right off the bat. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. And they put up with my OCD remarkably well. Kyla joined the family on August 8, 2006. She is our little angel...most of the time!!! She loves her brothers and they love her too. We continually get compliments on how sweet they are to their little sister. I recently started a new job as Director of Clinical Services for a mental health agency, and I also have a private practice on the side. Craig works for the Veteran's Administration Hospital as the Systems Redesign Manager. He is a wonderful husband and father. Life is good for our family!

Happy Birthday, Kyla!!!

Kyla turned 3 this past Saturday!!! I still can't believe how fast the past three years have flown by. Next thing I know, she'll be starting kindergarten...then dating...then moving out.... I wish I could just freeze time as it is right now. She is at such a great age....especially now that she is potty-trained! :-) Kyla has the sweetest little personality; it's something new everyday. Kyla has quite the imagination! Her favorite things to do lately are sing, dance and talk on her play cell phone...she is definitely ALL GIRL! When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said she wanted a box! Gotta love that!

She had a very fun birthday...and ended up with lots more than a box! Most of our relatives and some friends came over for a barbeque and 'Dora'-themed party (Dora is Kyla's current favorite!) The only bad part was Hunter and Colton missed out on the fun. They are still at their mom's house in Virginia for a few more weeks. Other than that, it was a great party. We were worried about the weather because it had been raining for three days, but by the afternoon it cleared up and we were able to sit on the deck and the kids jumped on the trampoline.

Kyla got a play kitchen with lots of play food, a guitar, a princess tricycle, lots of dress-up clothes, a nice dress, a swimsuit and lots of books!!! She is definitely not deprived of anything, that is for sure! I hope this upcoming year is as wonderful as the past three have been; I am so blessed to get to be mommy to such an amazing little girl!!!

C-U-T-E!!!! I love her dress...and the swimming suit shot w/ her in princess shoes. I bet she was in heaven! Glad you had such a good party, and that the weather cooperated. Wish I could have been there. :( Your friend did an amazing job on the cake, too. Maybe she can give Chad some tips...lol! Acutally, I must say Chad's pretty crafty w/ his cakes...wonder what I'll get this year!
