Welcome to our blog! Craig and I were married on February 11, 2006. Craig had two sons from a previous marriage - Hunter and Colton. I was very lucky to inherit two wonderful kids right off the bat. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. And they put up with my OCD remarkably well. Kyla joined the family on August 8, 2006. She is our little angel...most of the time!!! She loves her brothers and they love her too. We continually get compliments on how sweet they are to their little sister. I recently started a new job as Director of Clinical Services for a mental health agency, and I also have a private practice on the side. Craig works for the Veteran's Administration Hospital as the Systems Redesign Manager. He is a wonderful husband and father. Life is good for our family!

Scuba Diving 101

This past Sunday I took the boys with me for our first scuba diving lesson. I have a really good friend who is an avid scuba diver, so she is the one who encouraged me to give it a try. It's something I've always wanted to do anyway. The boys were anxious to learn too...so we just decided to do it.

We had a great time, even if there weren't any tropical fish at the bottom of the pool! :-) We got the hang of the equipment and played some underwater frisby. Next stop...The Great Barrier Reef! Ha ha ha...

Attentively listening to the instructions...

And next for the Equipment... once we figured out which tube was for what, we were good to go.

You will notice there are no close-up pictures of me in these goofy goggles...well that is the luxury of writing the blog! I can embarrass my kids without humiliating myself!!!! Oh, the joys of motherhood!

SO fun! Are you guys planning to get certified, or was it just a one-time lesson? I've always wanted to scuba dive...one day we'll go scuba diving together at the great barrier reef! :-)
